J&M Murdoch & Son Ltd are proud to announce we are in possession of the very first fully electric skip loader in Scotland. In partnership with Volvo Truck & Bus we are looking forward to presenting our new Volvo FE 4×2 with Hiab Multilift equipment at APSE Scotland (Association of Public Service Excellence) Aviemore on the 23rd to 26th May, after which – “ELECTRIC TED” meaning – TOMORROWS ENVIRONMENTAL DECISIONS– will be ready to deliver and collect skips from our construction, trade and domestic customers throughout the Glasgow area. “ELECTRIC TED” has the capacity to complete a full day’s work on a single charge. They are powered by 265 kWh traction batteries with four battery packs of 66kW each located in the wheelbase, providing a maximum torque of 286Nm continuous and 530Nm peak.
“ELECTRIC TED” will be highly visible with his distinctive livery expertly applied by Sneddon Signs Paisley.
